The primary and secondary side coils of ordinary transformers are concentrically set on an iron core column, with low-voltage windings inside and high-voltage windings outside. The original and secondary side coils of the welding machine transformer are installed on two iron core posts. When the secondary side current increases when the transformer is running with load, the transformer must keep the main magnetic flux in the core unchanged, and the primary side current must also increase accordingly to achieve a balanced secondary side current.
Power transformers mainly include:
1. Moisture absorber (silicone cylinder): it is equipped with silica gel, and the insulating oil in the oil storage cabinet (oil pillow) communicates with the atmosphere through the moisture absorber, and the desiccant absorbs moisture and impurities in the air to maintain the good insulation performance of the internal winding of the transformer; Silicone discoloration and deterioration are easy to cause blockage
2. Oil level meter: reflect the oil level status of the transformer, generally around +20O, too high to drain oil, too low to add oil; In winter, when the temperature is low and the load is light, the oil level does not change much, or the oil level drops slightly; In summer, when the load is heavy, the oil temperature rises, and the oil level also rises slightly; Both are normal
3. Oil pillow: adjust the amount of oil in the oil tank to prevent overspeed oxidation of transformer oil, and there is an oil filling hole in the upper part.
4. Explosion-proof pipe: to prevent sudden accidents from causing explosion hazards to the pressure accumulation in the transformer tank.
5. Signal thermometer: monitor the operating temperature of the transformer and send out a signal. The oil temperature of the upper layer of the transformer is indicated, and the temperature of the transformer coil is 10°C higher than the temperature of the upper oil. The national standard stipulates: the limit working temperature of the transformer winding is 105 °C; (that is, when the ambient temperature is 40 °C), the upper temperature should not exceed 95 °C, and it is usually appropriate to set the monitoring temperature (upper oil temperature) at 85 °C and below.
