Series Overview
The SC(B) series 110kV cast resin dry type transformer is Ryan Transformers' high-voltage flagship - a three-phase, epoxy resin cast insulation power transformer engineered for 110kV networks where an oil-free, fire-safe design is not optional. Ryan successfully developed the world's first 110kV class three-phase epoxy resin cast insulation dry type power transformer, and took the lead in formulating the related industry standards.
Every winding is vacuum-pressure encapsulated in filler-loaded epoxy resin, so the unit needs no oil, no routine oil testing and no fire suppression system. It operates safely inside substation buildings, underground caverns, hydropower halls and high-rise developments - the reason utilities specify dry type at this voltage. Ryan supports GB, IEC and IEEE designs, and delivers full type test reports from its CNAS-accredited in-house laboratory.
